Family Camp - October 2007

I have been waiting for a long time to start a blog so this entry could be considered old.

My family and I had the privilege of attending a family camp back in October. We spent 4 days up in the San Bernardino Mountains near Lake Arrowhead with 5 other churches.

It was great! You know how you expect camp food to be, well, um, gross? We were in for the surprise of our lives. The food was incredibly good! We were even served STEAK the last night of camp! And it was even tender!!! Wow!

The preaching was so encouraging. The theme was "Flip This House." Pastor Dave Gilbert was the featured speaker. It is so amazing how the Lord gives you just what you need exactly when you need it.

The song services were amazing! The host church has got to be the "singinest" (is that how you spell it?) church I have ever been around. They really know how to 'raise the roof' if you know what I mean.

We really had extreme weather changes in the couple of days we were there. It was about 70 and sunny on Wednesday and by Thursday night a rainstorm was brewing and the temperature had dropped to about 50. By Saturday morning it was below freezing and there was ice everywhere. For those of us who live in the desert, we were cold to say the least!

Above is a couple of pictures from camp.
